Hey everybody,
We found this bottle a couple of months ago and I have been intrigued by it since. It is clear and in pretty good shape. It says S.HALLENBERGER'S / FEVER & AGUE / ANTIDOTE. We found it in an early 1860s privy. Does anyone have any information about this bottle?
Hey guys,
This is our website. I am sure that some of y'all have already seen it, but I wanted to put the plug in for it at the right place in the form. We dig in Memphis, Tn and the surrounding area. We go out most every Saturday and try to have a new Digging Adventure uploaded every week...
I have searched the forum high and low for a post that I saw about local druggist bottles with images on them (ie. birds, owls, fish, hearts, or whatever). I have one that I want to add to the post. Thanks,
We found this pretty sweet 10-sided blob soda from Evansville, IND. There is not a lot to tell except that it is aqua and is 10-sided. It is embossed with A.B. & CO. // EVANSVILLE // IND. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it common or what?
Hey everybody,
We dig in Memphis and love bottles from the Mid-South. So, in an effort to identify some that have escaped our shovel (probably not too many really), please post any bottle picks or info on Memphis bottles that you have in your collection or might have dug.
Thanks,
Hey Guys,
I know that there has been a lot of talk about copper shot for tumbling, but I am looking for a SOURCE for cut copper. I would even settle for bulk 12 gauge wire if the price is right. I can't find a source in my area. All of the scrap yards in my area don't sell to the public they...
We found this a while back and I am just now getting around to asking my question. Obviously, it is a Carter's Mucilage bottle from the early 1880s. I know the date from dating the other bottles in the privy. Does anyone know How common these are. I haven't ever seen one and I haven't seen...
Yeah,
That was not a misprint. Well, on the bottle it was. I found this little thing. It's not a rare bottle, but I have never seen one that was misspelled. I thought it was kinda of neat.
Hey everybody,
I have my tumbler up and running and have spun a bottle for 2 days now. I am using glass beads with with 500 grit Aluminum Oxide. My test bottle is a Hutch in somewhat rough condition. I feel real good about my mixtures and the amount of glass I am using, although I could be...
I have been looking everywhere on the internet for a good source for glass beads to tumble with. Does anyone know of any? The only place that I can find is CR Crafts that was mentioned here in the forum, but there's gotta be other suppliers out there. Any ideas fellas?
I have searched the forum and found sparatic information about how much tumbling media to use. I am specifically interested in knowing how much cutter or polish to use per canister. Assume a 4"x12" canister (for a cone ink), how much do I put in? I have read some people's comments about...
I posted this some time ago on a less-trafficked website, but to no avail.
I found this figural bottle in a trash dump last summer. I found one place that has it for sale asking $225, but really can't find any info about it. I know that there is a version of a baby crying and, I have heard...
I know that this has been talked about a lot on the forum board, but most of the posts are not current. Does anyone sell 6'x3/8" solid (not welded together) Spring Steel Rods? There are people who sell different ones, but none that are good for my needs. Thanks
Hey y'all,
I found this figural bottle in a trash dump. I found one place that has it for sale, but really can't find any info about it. This is what I do know: Embossed on lower front Granger. Back "Patented/June 2nd 1874". 6 1/2 inches tall. On the bottom it says "T P S & Co NY". Anybody...
I am from the Memphis area and need a partner. What else is there to say? I really love bottle digging and have done a lot up north, but can't do much without a partner here in Memphis. Let me know!
