Found this sitting behind an attic wall. Still have to clean off the dirt and empty it, but it looks mint.

The only reference on the internet I've found is for a hutch bottle here: http://www.sodasandbeers.com/SABShowBottle.aspx?Bottle=16020AH&Firm_Number=16020

I was trying to figure out what the embossed pictorial was on the bottle. The above site says it's a bottle stopper. Hard to make it out in the photos, it will show better later when I clean it and dump the contents.

Any idea if this is a common or rare bottle?

What closure and what capacity is the bottle you found? Is it BIM or ABM?

I'd wait on dumping the contents until after you determine the rarity of the piece. If it was rare like a Coca cola hutch or the like, collectors would probably pay a premium for it, even if it wouldn't display as well.

It might be a bottle of flavoring syrup or something similar if it is from a bottling and supply company? If it is, it may be quite scarce with the contents.

Later Philadelphia bottles are usually not worth much though, so it will probably be no real harm if you do decide to clean it out.

Thanks for the info, Plumbata. I didn't open/empty it, just cleaned the outside.

Here's photos.

It's about the size of a quart bottle.

In about 12 oz. size it's worth maybe $10-12. In quart probably not too much more, say $10-15. Pretty common.
