Hi everyone, just wanted to share a few new finds from the weekend. My girlfriend and I exhausted the "honey hole" we've been digging. In the spring I dug a bunch of test holes all around this area we've been digging. So, we moved about 100 feet to the left of the honey hole, and started digging one of the test pits. Now this pit didn't show much promise with the test holes, 1920's and 30's mostly, but it's a fairly large and deep pit, so I thought maybe as we get deeper into the hole we'll hit some older stuff. We started pulling out deco sodas, blubirds and hosmer mountain (local), and some whiskey's and pre-prohibition gins. As we dug deeper, we started hitting some better/older stuff, but still mostly machine made. My girlfriend found the great coffin poison - and it's minty fresh - looks like it just came out of the medicine cabinet, and its BIM. Enjoy.

Tomorrow I'll post more that I dug today - mostly all BIM, and older - it's starting to look better!

Richard

This is a poison I think. It's machine made. Does anyone recognize it? It's got a fluted front and sides.

Bluebird and Hosmer Mountain deco sodas. The Bluebird is a beautiful soda, with a picture of a bird on it (not sure how well you can see it).

This was a deco soda - completely melted, but very cool. It used to look like the one on the right - Rocky Springs. The one on the right was found in the same area, along with a brick of labels that were burned on the edges, but still in nice shape. I soaked the brick in water for about 3 hours, and managed to get about 30 labels in pretty good shape. I glued this label on the bottle.

Cast iron boat tail racer - still looking for the other half. The insulator looks like a little human driving the car!

Location
The land of Great Cheese and Beer
The coffin is a KU-18 "Norwich" Worth about $100 +/-
The other is a KR-43 (at first I thought it was English, but I had to nose into the book to see) Probably the 1 oz issue. It's common, about $10. They go up to 32 oz size...those are about $75. These usually have the OZ size on the front above the fluted face.
