Cast iron gun - It's in great shape, I'm going to give it some electrolysis and see how much detail is still left.

I do love that "Liver Astonisher." A great name indeed. Their distributor in Indianapolis, G.P. McDermott & Co. in a promotional piece in the Mercantile & Financial Times begins by saying, "Liver Astonisher" is not a very nice name for any remedy whose constituents are found in the pharmacopeia, but it is picturesque and easily remembered... What is Liver Astonisher? Simply an ideal preparation of salts, so carefully and scientifically compounded as to do all the work of much vaunted natural mineral waters and salts, without involving any of the untoward effects which they-- all and each of them, we believe-- produce in one way or another... it is used by the teaspoonful, dissolved in water and taken just as other medicinal salts are taken; but never in the world has there been either a natural or artificial remedial preparation that could do so much good (and no harm as this new remedy...."

That toy pistol is pretty astonishing as well. I'm looking forward to seeing it after you give it the electric bath. Thanks for showing us your finds.
