That is a marble solitaire board .Center hole is left empty ,game is played by jumping one marble over another into empty spot and removing jumped marble .Jumps can only be made across or up or down ,no diagonal jumping ( yours has diagonal lines so maybe diagonal jumping is permitted ?) I have not them with lines before .Object of game is to end up with one marble left on board .There are online games you can play on computer ,type -Marble Solitaire - should come up .Some of the older ones have German handmade marbles .
Nice marbles variety of marbles there . [:)]

Hey that's a pretty cool idea! I've just been tossing all mine into a pint atlas jar for the most part - the very best ones become part of the habitat of Ray, my pet betta fish. The fishbowl is round so it magnifies everything nicely. That's a good looking old board - and some great marbles too! I like that seafoam and red yin-yang looking one......

Forgot to add nice find! Is that a wood inlay on your board ?
The ring around outside was for putting marbles in when removing them after jumping . Just checked the computer games ,can not jump diagonaly . The diagonal lines must be decoration as is the inlay .I meant to say in last reply that i have not seen them with diagonal lines before .These have been made since at least the early 1800's ,just left behind with technology. Wonder how old yours is ?
Looks like a nice hand painted or decorated porcelain in top right corner( just right of the yellow and black Marble King Bumble Bee ) and also another one in bottom corner 6:00 position .
Some hand painted ones i have found .The glass flower frogs make nice displays too , but the wood can not chip or scratch the marbles.[:)]

Farmer Dan ,many great marbles are ruined by putting in fish tanks (makes them look like beach glass after a while ) give the fish some cheapies ,just my 2 cents .[:)]
