I've been searching the forums (and the internet!) to find the answer to this question but no luck, so I figured I'd start a thread and cross my fingers!
I have a bottom half of a blob top soda bottle made by D.L. Ormsby when he was still at 255 W. 16th Street. The makers mark however just says D.L.O in block letters, and isn't the full name spelled out. Does anyone know when Ormsby used D.L.O. or for how long? Obvs. the address puts the bottle's date sometime between 1844-1860, but I'd like to be able to pin it down a little more.
Any help or guidance is appreciated!
