Was this style of cap used any, if at all, during the Straight Sided era? I bought one that's still full and I believe I had seen another that has the same style of cap. It has a few problems that might point out it's fake, there's some crud stuck around the top inside and the soda is perfectly fine. If anyone can confirm, it would be appreciated. I apologize for the picture being so large*

I'd be shocked if that was around during the time of straight sides...

I would have to agree with epackage on this one Alex. Its not that your cap is a fake its just a newer cap on an older bottle. Generally caps with locations on them are the older caps. In some cases the caps can be worth more than the bottle.

I understand. This one has "COCA-COLA BOTTLING WORKS INC. CHAMBERSBURG WILLIAMSPORT, YORK PA" on the sides of it. I have a bunch of the 75th Anniversary caps and they're nearly exact but with a few differences around ridged sides. It also has a very tiny camera shape with a trademark symbol, which leads me to thinking it may be a newer cap. I very much appreciate all the help! I will upload more photos in a minute.

also looking at the caps epackage put up and your cap and the bottle logo, epackages (at least from here) look more in line with what's on your bottle than your cap does.

I hope this helps Alex but typically I have found caps with the locations on the front are the more desirable caps. Now I have had coca cola flavor caps that have locations on the sides that people have really paid top dollar as well. If you look at epackages Lynchburg cap that is what I like when I find bunches of caps. I figured I would show you one from Roanoke which is a very short drive from Lynchburg. Also I see you like West Virginia coca cola items, a cap you will see rather often is a 4 city cap with Ronceverte, Staunton, and two other towns I can not recall off the top of my head. I would also like to add that I am no bottle cap expert and I am just trying to give you a little help. Roanoke caps like this are very common. If you would like some caps for your bottles let me know I have a ton of them. I found two wash tubs full about ten years ago.
