Well ,just did a search on Jos. Magnus Cincinnati monogram and was surprised to find an explanation of the embossing . It was stated that the embossing was TRADE (monogram consisting of a crowned lion holding a flower, facing left, and 6 crossed arrows) MARK / magnus (script) / ORGINAL /
