I found this bottle in my mother's cabinet of old stuff. The silver says SILVER-TOWNE on it. There is a seam on the glass running up both sides through the threads where a screw cap once was. I put the cork in. I'm guessing it was a perfume bottle? No markings on the glass. Thank you for any info you can provide. It may not be super old and missing the cap but I think it is pretty cool the way they added the silver to it.

Welcome to the forum! I think it is a perfume, never seen one quite like that before. Probably not super old but looks like it does have some age to it. If you post a picture of the bottom we might be able to get a better idea of age.

Looks like a 1950's era perfume bottle.

It appears to be a single from a salt and pepper set. A pair sold on Ruby Lane that was very similar, with, I believe, the same marking.Set-of-Silver-Towne-Silver-Plate-Amber.jpg
