Ok, I am new hear so be easy. Until recently I was ignorant to the world of ACL bottles. I collect all different types and my number 1 goal was to get those bottles clean so I can't tell you how many ACL's I have scrubbed the labels right off in an effort to get them clean!
I do have one Mt. Dew with the label partially intact, (I must of been having a lazy day) and it is 12 oz but what I think is most interesting is most of the hillbilly bottles say on the back "it will tickle your inwards". This one says Mountain Dew is good.
Is there anything special about this one?

I'm not a Mountain Dew expert but sure you will hear from those that are. The one thing that jumps out for me about your bottle is the red hillbilly on the neck. I think that might be something special. Too bad it's not in better shape.

According to the book I have "Mountain Dew Collectibles" which was published in 2001 by Bruce Zafft and Tim Tromp, it shows the slogan "Mountain Dew is Good" as being used on bottles between 1964 and 1967 - with the red hillbilly on the neck being from 1967

Hello, The red head hillbilly on the neck appeared as early as 1963 I think. With Mountain dew is good on the back. The red neck is a little more valuable than the white. It's too bad your bottle is in that bad of shape. Probably not worth anything. If in good shape 20$ & up. The "Mountain Dew Hillbilly Bottles" book is a great source of info for dew bottles. (by Dick Bridgeforth) I usually just use soap & water to clean the outside of ACL's.

I just scanned this page from the book I referred to. If I understand it correctly, it appears that both slogans "Mountain Dew is Good" and "It'll tickle yore innards!" overlapped each other and were used at the same time between about 1964 and 1967. But I'm not sure how accurate the book is. The letters B.M.D. stand for BASE MARK DATE

That looks like a good book also Bob. I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one.
