Pulled from a toc dump last month- hope the picture show the debossing- reads: 1 / J H E / 1855 / DAV?, anyone ever seen one , maybe just a simple counterweight ? (It does weight 1lb) JB
I'M GUESSIN IT IS A COUNTER WEIGHT FOR A SCALE,,,THOSE DRILL HOLES WERE DONE WHEN IT WAS MADE TO REMOVE THE EXTRA WEIGHT FROM IT ....TO BRING IT ONE POUND.
Hello to this thread. I have two scales that use this type of weights. I also have a neat clear glass weight with a pick up knob on its' top. RED Matthews
Thanks, I kinda figured it was a weight, but never have run across one before, I'm happy digging anything old ! Red that glass weight you have sounds cool. JB
