I just recently received this bottle and have never seen anything else like it out there. It is not identified in Michael Rosman's guide ' Krinkly to Mae West'. It's from before the flower logo bottles and is dated 1972. It dose seem to have an unusually large neck logo , as well it is 28 oz rather than the 26 oz size seen on the diamond draped bottles. Could it be a prototype?

That is a beautiful bottle! You scored very good on that one IMO.

What do the heel and base embossings say? I've seen similar ones that are usually smaller, but I always passed them up. I stopped picking Crush up when I realised how many variants are around. What I find interesting on it is that it also tells you that one pint is twelve fluid ounces.

Actually Spirit Bear, one pint is 16 oz. Plus the mentioned 12 oz = 28 oz. That got me too, on a 7Up.

Yes it's a strange way to show contents but the 26 oz bottles are the same ( 1 pint 10 fl oz.)... = 28 fl oz. This is the more ccommonly seen diamond draped bottle. The bottom of my bottle is embossed with the circle I and to the right 72... So 1972, nothing unusual on it. The smallest ACL I've seen is the 10oz Diet Crush, we are talking about SS bottles... But I would not say its similar. Never seen anything thing like this in 28 years of collecting, everything else in this bottle size usually has a paper label.

Ok well I just received my new copy of 'Krinkly to Mae West' and this bottle is referred to as a 'transition' bottle.... They basically did away with the ACL on these straight side bottles and opted for paper. But this is still an elusive bottle!
