G. B. Seely is listed as Gilliam Seely from New York City about 1868 and it looks like an interesting one. The Jackson & Litchfield is probably from New Jersey about 1870, the stamp looks kind of light on that one. I don't remember seeing the Seely before. Those two are probably worth $40 to $60 each if there is no damage. The other one is hard to judge unless the full stamp can be figured out. stonebottle
There is a "L.W. & G." bottle listed in the update to David Graci's book. Unfortunately there is no maker or location listed. So.. like with many of these bottles it is a known bottle but nobody knows where it is from. There are bottles marked L.A. Wightman that are thought to be from Philadelphia that have the same coloring. There are also other bottles from that area with that color. So that name is a longshot but could be possible. Do you know if these three bottles were dug or found in the same area? stonebottle
Yes same town...northeastern Pa. A ghost town that was demolished in the 50s.
I'm going with a New York, New Jersey and a Pa. jug
Supposedly there was a stage coach stop in town and the town dates 1850s
thx for the info
