Hi everyone, I am new to bottle digging and collecting. I found these 4 bottles in some fill dirt that we were using for our driveway. I think all of them would date to before 1900. The 3 glass bottles have pontil marks, three mold seams, and "applied tops"; the clay one has a flat base and a stamp on the side that says "H. Kennedy Glasgow" "Barrowfield Pottery -2-". The tallest bottle is made out of black glass(?) and has a very deep concave base. Other than that, none of the bottles have any other marks or words on them. Could anyone tell me anything about the age or value on these bottles? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--Justin

I don't think these bottles have pontil scars on them.
Maybe you could show us a picture of the bases of them.
They look to be from the late 1800's era.

Maybe you can get some close ups on the bases, I still can't tell if they're pontiled or not because the picture is too far away.
It looks like a kick up on the black glass bottle.

Woody is right,Justin.
That is a kick-up on the black glass bottle. And the other bottles appear to have MOLD Lines on their bases, not pontils.

Still,a very nice start to a collection![:D]
