A Blue Hobbleskirt Coke - Error

I've had this neat blue (no city) Coke bottle for years, and have never seen another like it. Thinner than usual early hobbleskirts and has an error in the patent date. This one reads "NOV. 16, 1916" instead of 1915! Is this a common bottle or not?

Here's a close-up. By thinner I mean the glass is thinner...sides and bottom.

nice bottle I have seen them and Pepsi in that color. I think it is a shade of Ice Blue. I don't know how common etc but that one is very nice most of the early ones seem to have dings wear etc.

It is not an error. They were widely distributed and made for several years. there have been many found down here but I could only get my hands on the green ones and I wanted a blue on. All the blue ones are dated 1916 and I have seen some of the Georgia green ones with that date too. I have a blue one that I got from Bram (downeastdigger).

That's a pretty one. I like the color. I've found some pieces of beach glass coke bottles like that.

I'd like to pickup a green one with the 1916 date to go with this blue one. I like these early hobbleskirts and the variations that some of them have!

Well that might explain an odd error that I found in a Dixie Coca-Cola ad from Bristol, VA in 1917. The ad is introducing the new bottles and the bottle pictured on the ad has Nov. 16, 1916. I had wondered if this was a mis-print or if there was a type-o in the picture used for the ad.

The 1915 and 1916 hobble skirt Coke bottles were not issued untill 1917. Hygiea Coca Cola Bottling Works in pensacola first used the hobble skirts in 1924 and the first order was the 1915 bittles. The second order several months later was an error bottle. They were 1915 but they were clear. Here are the three different colors, blue unmarked, green Pensacola and clear Pensacola.
