That's a cool looking bottle Rock.Sort of looks like a cross between a pumpkin seed and a heart. [:D] I like it

Super Dangerous huh? This is gonna be your theme song Rock.-----

There's a man who leads a life of danger.
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger.
With every move he makes, another chance he takes.
Odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.

Secret dump diggin man

Thanks Joe. A lot of these jars resemble the type of glass used in early Japanese fishing floats.

This pic shows the color separation but kind a washed out by the sun.

Thanks PD!

Hey Jim thanks. A lot of the Japanese aqua glass comes our really good around here.

Howzit Nate, yeah bamboo is a good locator for early civilization but a mother to probe and dig through. The main markers for me are mango, avocado, banana and bamboo. All these plants have large seed or have to be planted/dumped by man. The seeds can't be carried by bird so you know human activity was near by.

In 1792 Captain Vancouver brought and planted mango seeds.[;)]

Howzit Brad!
when was your last dig out Big Island? we've been digging this cave on and off. My friend got a nice serrao a few years back in this hole.

Mostly teens stuff. A few nice oriental meds now and then. Perfect age for that ever elusive "Busy Corner" druggist bottle..[;)]

I need to winch one of the cars out of the way to safely dig more. The earthquake shifted the car about two feet. Still got a nice layer down under.

I was in Hilo the last weekend in January for a couple days of digging. My Kona friend got permission to dig a guys yard in an old part of Hilo and we hit a couple of decent pits.

I ended up pulling a really crude black glass gin, one of the small ones. No sodes for me on that trip, but my Kona buddy got an Excelsior. Common, but a hutch is a hutch!!!

Hope to be back soon, but in the mean time I'm keeping busy digging out here on the mainland.

Aloha! Brad

Dude, nice dig rocky!

I have dug a few "bottle mine" caves in my time and they are lots of fun. If you have a working understanding of applied physics you can do so safely, and dang it is a good time i tells ya! [:)] As a young kid i would build/excavate wide networks of tunnels in the snow piles created by the plowing of the church parking lot behind my house. Some years blessed with heavy snowfall i could create "2-story" tunnels, with vertical shafts connecting them. Good times. [:)]

Dunno if you have a harbor freight outlet around you but i saw a coupon which would get ya a 2000 lb capacity winch for 50 bucks. Get a generator and a few winches back there and you could rip those junk cars right outa the wall. Have a feeling that you already have that equipment though. If you do, and have the desire to use those tools, please keep us posted.

those jars are beautiful. Love all the bubbles.
any more news on the fight to stop them from fencing off large areas of the island and taking out the pigs?
