Yesterday my diggin partners and I was excavating a major dump site. The keeper pile was huge, mostly common embossed meds, some was not so common.
9 Hostetter's bitters
2 Kilmer's swamp root cures
3 sample whiskeys (amber)
The good stuff is pretty deep and takes alot of work to move all the dirt and newer glass. In my section of dump I recoverd this crock jug about 3 feet down, thought noway it was going to be whole. It is in perfect shape[:)] It has blue-white-blue rings top and bottom. What do you think it originally held? I feel the age was probably early 1900's.

Thanks Bill D. I don't think I want to trade [:D]I have a few jugs myself w/o handles, when I locate a crock jug buried in a dump I like to see that handle poking out at me first, it just depends how it landed when they chucked it years ago I guess.
It is cool to see another jug like the one I dug regardless if the handle is gone.
Bill good luck on this digging season ! Josh
