I don't know if I have a clear favorite bottle of 2014 , I found a lot either in stores , digging or swimming . if 2015 is that good as well it will be another good year
Hmmm. It is hard to choose less than four. So, here are four:
Jackson's Napa Soda Spring's bottle circa 1870: Birthday.
Muskegon Bottling Works Muskegon, Michigan: My first blob. Circa 1880s.
Michigan Bottling Co. Muskegon: I'm the first person to compile into one list what information is available on this company. 1890s.
Twin City Dairy, Muskegon: Found it as I was trying to evade the old man stalking me. My first milk and a scarce one. 1920s.
My favorite and oldest found in a shop in Shreverport for under 20$. Corked, wax sealed, contents and best of all pontiled.

These are a few of the beers I added to my collection during the year 2014. Just one from each month, left to right, top to bottom in the photo below.[ul][*]January found this pint TERRE HAUTE BREWING CO. bottle on a collectors web site. Note that there the paper label is for BLUING and the residue in the bottle. This shows that bottles were not always used for beer and were often pirated.[*]February added a pint WEST SIDE BREWERY CO. bottle to my collection. This bottle is common, but since it still retains its original paper label it is in uncommonly good condition.[*]March this SANTA CRUZ BREWING CO bottle appeared on ebay. This was a new example for a new town and brewery in my collection.[*]April was contacted via email by George Zurava who was downsizing his collection. This G. W. MOFF BREWER was also a new town and company example for me and the favorite of several that I acquired from George. I had planned on trying to meet George. but sadly he passed away this Summer. Rest in peace my internet and collecting friend.[*]May a friend contacted me with an offer to buy this H. ROOKE PRAEMIUM WEISS BIER bottle. It is difficult for me to add Missouri beers to my collection so I was pleased to do so with this one.[*]June ebay turned up a new company for me with this WESTPHALIA BREWING CO. beer bottle[*]July ebay produced a puzzler in this one that I suspect is from the state of New Mexico. SOUTHWESTERN LAGER BEER BOTTLING CO. If you can help identify the city of origin I would appreciate the heads up.[*]August another ebay find for this NY brewery GENESEE BEER bottled in New Jersey. Out of state branch bottlers are a favorite of mine.[*]September ebay coughed up a bottle I knew about, but had not seen in many many years. P. L. BREWING CO. P.L. is for POLISH LITHUANIAN. It pays to keep searching and not give up the hunt.[*]October again ebay turned up a bottle this time with what could be an error. MERKEL & KAHNER'S BASS LAGER. Yes BASS, which is BOSS on the companies later bottles. I love bass fishing so this one makes me smile.[*]November I got this JACOB MUTH & CO BERLINER WEISS BEER bottle through ebay. Research shows this Burlington WI company was in business from 1852-1872 making this example one of the earlier era bottles added to my collection for the year.[*]December was an exercise in following up as this KAL. MALTING & BREW'G CO hutch was a teaser from 2013 where the owner did not want to part with it. I kept their contact information and in 2014 I followed up and this bottle has a new home in my collection[/ul] [attachment=group.jpg]
