Not only is it rare, but it's in awesome shape. The seller (Jim) is a real nice guy; he has worked for Pepsi for a long time and is trying to retire soon.

If I had fifteen hundred to blow I'd hit buy it now. It's already up to nearly $700. I want it's brother even more than the Mountain Dew version.

I've got a boxfull -- maybe 12 -- local ACL sodas some of which I found down at the local creek back in the mid-1970s. Weirdest dump I ever "dug". The area of creekbank was covered by what looked like old brown cloth blankets that had all hardened into a fairly solid layer. I pulled this material off the bank and underneath was some powdery substance mixed with powdery soil (unlike the rest of the bank being hard dry clay). No doubt toxic. Anyone ever feel like they were digging through toxic stuff? Especially in 1930s and newer dumps...yuck!

As I cleared the cloth/material off, the loose soil was easily pushed down the bank with a hand-hoe (regular hoe with the long handle cut short - invaluable for digging creekbanks) and the ACL sodas were there. Twang Rootbeer with the "Twang Kid" pictured. Vali Beverages. Kist from Oakland or SF? Been sooo long since I looked at them.

Wow morb! I didn't even know that bottle existed! Thought I knew a lot about Dew and its fore fathers; I am glad people like you are around to teach new things. I would like to have either one, so I could drop jaws when I tell family and guests how much it's worth!

Jim is a really cool guy though. The vast majority of his bottles are rare named Mt. Dews. He sets a reserve on a lot of his bottles to get back what he put in them, but he will often work with you if your bid doesn't meet it. Good Luck if anyone on here is bidding on this wonderful piece of Dew history!!!
