When one purchases a bottle....there usually isn't a good story to go with it. No amount of sentences will illuminate the transaction.....Really.....it just won't work story wise. I mean, I like reading stories from buyers that find an incredible bottle in the recesses of an antique store for just pennies. Several friends have scored big. A green Angellie Flask from San Francisco (worth thousands) purchased for under twenty dollars...a large rare Jules Hauel pot lid was bought for just pennies on it's dollar worth. So I guess there are some great stories.....This story isn't one of them.

I recently bought a bottle on Ebay......I just couldn't resist the embossed elk on the front of this turn of the century whiskey. I have a few other whiskeys this age & the elk will fit in nicely. Normally I prefer older glass....but that just wasn't happening. I had an itch & had to scratch it.
Pictured below is an Adolph Harris & Co San Francisco whiskey....I love the boldly embossed elk's head. The bottle is clean as a whistle....has some nice bubbles.....that’s about it.

I pictured below the Adolph Harris whiskey & two friends that dropped over to see it. It was either that or they dropped by to eat my roses....probably the roses...Nice racks on these two California Mule deer. They come around so often I've nicknamed them Jerky & Back Straps....They're safe in my backyard.... Look at their faces......that's an I'll eat the roses look if I have ever seen one. Grrrrrr.

Jim I saw my first moose two years ago.....Ah Mooseswaaa. It was a banner day!

There was a day when we hung a jerky bag in the gun closet....We made our own... salt & pepper brine....I haven't hunted in years.

Happy Holidays. [:)]

Mooses, Meeses, Mices, whatever the plural is, are magnificent, if sort of ugly, creatures, especially seen in the wild. We are blessed by God to live in an area where we see such things on a fairly regular basis. I never tire of it, turned around and drove back to sit and watch them forage 10 - 15 feet off a small paved road up here in the woods. It was too dark to take pictures on our semi-dumb phones so I don't have any to share. One was a young bull, the other a young female or cow. We have had a number of encounters with moose, they are fearless.

When this happens I just sit, enjoy and thank God for the opportunity to enjoy His creation. Please, ALL, remember The Reason For The Season, the birth of Jesus Christ. He offers nothing but LOVE.

We have moose through our acreage regularly and occasionally deer but they are White Tail. We don't have roses but a lush vegetable garden, funny, they leave our garden alone and ravage out neighbors sparce offerings. She's always complaining to us.

Hey, we offer to share, she is stingy. You do the math.
