I collect a little of everything old. As a child, my mom always would show me something old and give it value, because it was old. Given that upbringing, I have a lot of old stuff, not necessarily valuable to anyone but me. I do enjoy the discovery, and hope to learn from all of you. Still hoping someone can recommend how to price this Peter Bub German Style beer bottle from 1937. I have not seen one in any of the area antique stores or others collections.

Other bottles from the brewery, but not this one have sold on EBay and other auctions. Most are paper labeled lager beer bottles and go for $7-14. Picnic size lager with paper labels go for $40. Saw one like mine in a collectors display 5 years ago. My mom picked a case of these in the 1970's. Gave each of my siblings one and sold the balance of her case to a collector around 1980. Am thinking it a short run due to WWII, and bad feelings for Germany. Maybe many were destroyed?

As far as I know this is a Steinie Bottle & a ACL Bottle. Not to many Acl Steinies. also a early Acl Steinie dating to 1937 as far as I can tell. Long before WW11. I'd have to assume they switched to Paper labels as I think the ACL was more exspensive. Probably short run. Just my opinion. others may vary? LEON.

I will be at a sale in the town of Winona where the old brewery is now an Antique Coop, (Closed in 1969) in 2 weeks.
Recommendations wanted.
Should I price it high ($100.) and take offers?

With nothing to compare it to with past sales I'd have no idea of value. But starting at $100 sounds like a good ideal to me. Or throw on ebay for $100 & see what happens. LEON.

I did sell the bottle recently to a local collector for $100. We are both satisfied.

Not even my main area of interest in antique bottles--I like the pre-1910, BIM stuff--but I liked the bottle's graphics and condition. Moreover, especially appreciate when a member posts followup information. Kudos! for doing so; and welcome to the forum.
