Kinda bummed that there were no materials on the job monday, But not for long.
Decided to connect holes 4 & 5. Really glad I did! The seams vanish 1 1/4" from the top on the San Jose soda with lots of bubbles. No blue yet, but things are getting more interesting with every hole I dig. I hope you all find interesting things too!

That's is beautiful! I found #6 last saturday. Is your bottle 2 3/8" across and 2 3/4" tall also?Do you happen to know the value of these and/or the meaning of the numbers on the bottom?

Yes, my ink has the same exact measurement as yours.
I don't think they're real valuable.
The most valuable Carters ink bottles are the cobalt blue cathedral and cloverleaf ink bottles.
I dug a cloverleaf two years ago and sold it on eBay for $150.00.
I suppose the number 6 on the bottom is the mold number.
Just my guess.

From New Hampshire to California. That was one heck of a trip for glass in that day and age. Aren't these circa 1880? Does anyone Know where these bottles were made?

Here's my only Carters..I dug this one...Carters 1897 made in USA on the bottom. Not rare, not too valuable, but I dug it so it's worth a lot to me!!

I feel the same way. It's going to break my heart to start selling bottles. I'm running out of room As my collection grows. I love carters cones. I found a Green one. Easy to date.
