Here is our old creepy house photo. The back half of the house was burned down and is caving in.

Do you guys get permission to dig the old houses, or do you just take your chances and trespass? I've been logging all of the abandoned houses around here, and working on checking them out. I haven't decided how to approach them.

It's usually very easy to get permission at a run down or condemned property. I usually offer to help clean it up a bit or to do some type of improvements to the yard. MOST of the time the owners will tell you to just make sure you fill your holes in. You can gain access to property records at your county clerks office to find out who pays taxes on it. A lot of times neighbors will watch out for vandals and vagrants so be prepared to explain yourself and back your story up... or just take your chances! Police rarely respond to calls about two or three guys digging a hole on an abandoned lot.

RE: Another fun day 1/2...Admin Please move my last post

Hi,
I didn't realize that Carobran had started the old houses/barns thread in "General Chat"...so please move the last post with the feed mill pic to that thread.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug, it's not hurting anything so I'll leave it. Besides, I don't think a post can be moved to a different thread, just threads to a different category.
You can repost it in that thread if you like.
