Any ideas? It is about 2" - Aqua - So light you can barely feel it in hand - Tooled/sheared lip - Dimple on base to stand - Bulb starter? Whimsey? ? Thanks again, Rich

Its about the size of a lightning rod ball but no hole in bottom and it sounds a bit light.
It looks similar to early witch balls I have seen.

Thanks Warren for the welcome and ideas! It is cool, I've sold most of the glass I've ever had, but managed to cling on to a 1/2 dozen odd things.

Looks like a target ball to me. They were used before the invention of the clay pigeon, ? - to the early 1900's. They were usually filled with paper shreds, feathers, or sawdust. Then they were thrown in the air and poeple would take shots at them. I don't know much on value of them or if they were reproduced at all but I am pretty sure that is what you have there. Annie Oakley used to shoot them in the wild west show.

Makes sense! I have seen quite few target balls, if this one is it is earlier than normal I'd say.
