Another Pittsburgh Dig

heres a before and after photo of a recent dig. included is: sperm sewing machine oil, food jar(L&S co. 65 on bottom), F.M Metz Druggist Etna Pa, Larkin Soap co.(Modjeska Derma Balm), whiskey(tall one has G on bottom), Bixby, Liebigs Beef wine and Iron (none genuine with out the name, Providence RI), small bottle up front, and small bottle (Purity, Quality) also shown is doll head

The two small bottles and doll head were found in blue pottery

Obviously nothing is too old but they are new to collection.

Hey Kranked...I live about 45 minutes from downtown. I've got some places lined up on the Northside I'd like to dig. If you ever need a digging partner let me know. I also have a couple of whiskeys from Pitts. One is marked Allegheny Pa. which is the Northside now. Get in touch with me.

Sure Ill dig anytime!!! Are you talking privy dig or dump on the northside? should be a few of each there. and weekend are best chance i get to dig.

Heres two quart beers embossed D. Lutz & Son Brewing Co. Allegheny. Pa dug from dump near there.

Must have been a lot of beer drinkers on the northside back when all the breweries were kicking.

Also found this dairy which has Cronenweth Dairy 1356 Herman St N.S.

I thought it stood for North Side, but never did get anyone to confirm this. There just happens to be Herman St on troy hill.
