Walk the yard with a probe,and probe (every sunking spot) you see.
Single homes in the country are a lot harder to find pits in than row homes.
I find the privy's on the property lines in row homes, some are in the back some on the side some in the middle of the yard,There is no set rules to where people wanted to put a crapper. They did what was best for them at the time,So to say a privy is (suppose) to be in one certain location in a yard is way off base. You have to look and probe look and probe. Also you have to get out and DO IT,NOT JUST TALK about it,you find more pits that way []
