I have a mason jar marked "Double Seal Mason" Nothing else on the jar. It is clear and missing the lid. Any info on Age? Worth?

If the "Double Mason" is in cursive with a large underscore, and "MASON" is printed in caps, it sounds like you have Red Book #828.
Quart clear is valued at $50-60
Tall pint clear is $75-100

how do you know which jars are old...and which are somewhat newer....they all look the same to me...

Most of your older jars will have a ground lip on them. (usually rough looking) Also some types of jars, such as the wax seal types will be older, with a few exceptions. Another way to tell is by looking at the scars on bottom. Sometimes you can tell whether they were machine made or hand blown by looking at the scars.
