I have been holding on to this flask for a while to sell it (on eBay) in order to raise funds, when I decided to acquire something special for my collection. Any thoughts on what it's worth or what I might get for it on a good day? It's a Pike's Peak Flask GXI-21 with a sheared lip, but no pontil. The flask is extremely whittled, strongly embossed, and very clean. No scratches, high-point wear, staining or cloudiness - only a small chip on the back side of the lip keeping it from being mint.

Finally here is a photo of the lip chip, probably from prying the cork out.

My guess with the chip would be $80.00 to $120.00.Being a sheared lip makes the chip a little more acceptable in my opinion.Nice flask..[;)]

That may be good on ebay on a good day with a small collector bidding war. $65-100 if they aren't there. The economy stinks for lower ticket items. It's great for buyers of rare stuff, no competition.
It is a nice strike overall though. I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, I still have the flask and not in a hurry to sell it. This is not a common Pikes Peak Flask and it has a lot of presence in the hand and looks great when displayed with good light. I would like to get close to a $100.00 for it. I would also be willing to trade toward a quart Louisville double eagle flask GII-26, a pontiled quart double eagle Stoddard flask, a colored double eagle pint or quart (PA), a barrel bitters (other than straight amber), a Seeing Eye Masonic Flask GIV-43, or a colored pontiled umbrella.

What originally brought me to this Antique Bottle Forum was an inquiry about cleaning the bottle pictured below. I ended up not having to clean it, instead I sold it for a good amount of money $$$ to a collector of Pike's Peak Flasks.
