Any value to Van Vilet lid?

I dug this lid yesterday and looked up the patent looks like a very rare jar would the lid have any value to it?

An aqua "Van Vliet" jar is valued around $750-$1500, depending on the size (pt. qt. or 1/2 gallon) with an original closure. The wire assy. & glass lid make up about 35-50% (probably closer to 50%) of the jar's value, but I would think most of that would be the wire itself. A scarce jar & a scarce lid. Nice find, but I'd check to see if the wire is nearby, too.
