I bought this dose glass from a bottle dealer in Washington state. I thought that it was interesting because of it being a "one liner." Usually these dose glasses have more advertising embossed on them. The dealer said that he has seen a bottle that matches the dose glass, but had no further information. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks,

Tracy
PS-- always interested in hearing from bottle collectors about dose glasses that they have found.

There obviously were a LOT of New York bottles from that period.
here are some I have listed ...

There are probably just as many local pharmacy bottles too.

Do you have any of the Victor Liver Syrup dose glasses?

GH,

Great list that you have going there, but didn't see any that could be my J.S.CO.

I have seen the Victor Liver Syrup dose glass. It is a really nice glass with some great etched graphics. However, my main interest is embossed dose glasses, especially those with druggists' advertising.

Let me know if you find a match for the J.S.CO. glass.

Thanks,
Tracy

Here is a dose glass from Steiner Brothers Druggists, a local apothecary from the 1880s to 1900s here in Frederick.

G.H.,

I have that same Steiner Bros glass, but mine is the larger (2&1/4in) size. Looks like the one in your picture is the 1&7/8in size. My only other MD glass is from Baltimore. I could use a better VA glass for my collection, so please keep an eye out.

Thanks,
Tracy
