here are 3 coke bottles the one in the center is aqua, and has an r in a triangle on the base, any info on the mark and or the color, its says reed 28 on the heal thanks mike
It was manufactured by REED Glass company. The 28 refers to the year, 1928. Some of the earlier Cokes, the 1915 and the Christmas bottle came in a few different colors besides the standard 'Coke Green'. The glass companies either couldn't get the color or couldn't mix it for the correct color. By the 1930's all the bottles were in Coke Green.
I have seen clear, aqua, ice blue, for some of the colors.
THe R in triangle is the Glass Manufacturing Company symbol. Not all early Coke bottles had City/State either. Some had nothing, some had Coca Cola in script, others the makers mark on the bottom.
