Here is a picture of an artillary shell that my dad got from his step brother. It was used in World War 1. It was made in 1917 and used in 1918.

that is called trench art . it is very collectable!! these pieces were made by service men while enlisted and usually made as something to pass time between fighting in ww2. very nice!!

i collect gun and shell. diggerjeff is rigt its valuable . they did this even back during the cilvil war also. they used what they had to carve things .bayonets knives just what they had . i would hang on to it every pice is unique.
