Bottle I dug near Trenton a couple of years ago. Benjamin P Reeder is the only Trenton bottler I've researched who was a Trenton area native. He was born in Ewing, a suburb of Trenton, NJ in 1852. His entry into the bottling business began with his marriage into the Moses Johnson family, local liquor distributors in 1876. He worked as their driver until starting his own company.
Reeder had assorted business relationships with his brother-in-law bottler Charles Otis Johnson and John Schroth during the 1880s, early 1890s. Benjamin died at 43 years old in Trenton Sept 26,1893.

This is wonderful once again Jerry! Thats an awesome photograph of historic Princeton. Also shows exactly why we find other towns bottles in different towns dump sites sometimes.

Cyber... I like the idea of a local history section on the forum. I have already printed and saved several of Jerrys postings to go along with my own collection and now have fascinating stories to tell with the background of some of my bottles. It helps bring them to life and give them the story and history behind them The wealth of knowledge and research on NJ bottlers from Jerry is priceless for us locals here.

Another great bottle and history, Jerry. I love the delivery wagon picture.

I would very much like to see a forum section for posts like this. It would be great for collectors, and would also be helpful to people who are researching their local or family history. ~Jim
