BIG brown owens bottle

How bout this one from the dump?

Very big. 9 in. tall, 3 1/2 in. wide, ABM. ROUND (although it looks square in the scan) Has Owens mark (1911-1929) along with a 6 on the left side of it, and an 8 on the right. Anything?

Sorry about the quality of the scan, but hey, it gets the job done.

hi diggerboy, nice bottle i like amber and cobalt. i have several bottles with the owens mark with # on both sides of it. i wonder if this could be a factory # and year like they use when it became the owens illinois co. maybe some one will know. rhona

Thanx Rhona. Actually, this could've been made during the transition from using the old owens logo tho the then-new owens-illonois logo. Just a guess.[]
