My folks recently moved and found this old bottle in box in the attic, but they can't remember when/where they got it. Judging by their collective memories, we're guessing it's from the 1960's or 1970's. The bottle is about 11 inches tall and in the shape of Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" painting. She's cobalt blue glass and sits in a white plastic base with "creme de violet" on the front. (Note, it is spelled "violet" instead of the more common "violette"). The bottle has an outer seal and an inner seal. On the outer seal is a small gold sticker that says "Product of Japan". Any idea of the bottle's history and a rough value? The outer seal is broken, but the inner is intact and the bottle is still full. [attachment=CameraZOOM-20140405233353393 - Copy.jpg]

It reminds me of something Avon® might do. The time frame sounds good, I'm just not familiar with it.

Most of us have little interest or knowledge of contemporary (new) bottles but perhaps someone on the forums can help you. I believe the interest, and therefore value, will be determined by non-bottle collectors. Good Luck.
