I found this black glass bottle the other day. I find these all the time, plain, but this is the first time I've found one that actually had something on it. Does any one know the name of the company or where this bottle is from? Age? Value?
thanks,
Robert

Hi BARQS19.
This bottle would have been made in England and dates to around 1860. I would think from the photo that this bottle is pontilled and appears to have been recovered from water as it seems to have an all over dullness.

Not sure about it being found in water, probably my crappy camera and the lighting wasn't that good. I like to take pictures of bottles outside in the sunlight but it's been raining here for the past 2 days. Here is a picture of the bottom, all it has is a dimple on the bottom. Is this a type of pontil?
Thanks,
BARQS19

PS was all black glass bottles like this made in England?
