Black Glass with Pour Spout

Hi All,
I found this beauty in my father-in-laws collection. It is black glass and old (and heavy!) It must be a wine bottle but with a pour spout?

It says Ra. Galban I believe. Has anyone seen one like this before?

Looks like a very nice, extremely early master ink, if I'm not mistaken... The lip certainly fits. Would it be 1700's, or at least early 1800's?

It reminds me of an early European apothecary type. Could it possibly say Galbanum? That would fit in with apothecary if so. The pour spout would have been helpful for dispensing any type of liquid into smaller containers, not necessarily just inks. I love those early painted blacks. Lovely bottle.

Thanks for all your replies. The bottle is 8.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide. It looks like it was blown in a dip mold because there is whittling around the sides but then the shoulders come out more before receding. They made inks that large?
