this site has some great people and alot of good information. that being said, reference books always come in handy. you can always go to them to find out info on the spot. most of the time the person who has written the book puts alot of time and research in them. i feel you usually get more in depth info from a book that is focussing on a certain group of bottles.

Cecil Munsey's book...The Illustrated Guide to Collecting Bottles is listed on Ebay...Very good reference book.
