bottle from sydney's Botany Bay

hi there!
This bottle was found in sydney, Australia, amongst rocks.
I was told it used to be a ginger beer bottle.
its about 15 cm high and 9 cm in diameter
the stamp doesnt show a date.
If you happened to recognise it, would you please tell me if what I know is right, and when it was made, and if it's worth anything.
