Bottle photos and the big hole

Hello All -
Here are some photos of some finds from the past couple of months. There are more, but these are the ones I have photos of for now. I dig a lot, but don't have a lot of time to post regularly. Most of our digs are featured in our local (RABCA) newsletter. Sorry if any of you have seen these before.

The finds at this site don't have a lot of age, but they need to be unearthed. Here's a look at the hole, after a cave-in. We took this down 15 feet to the water and bottles. The dirt is thrown/filled into our hole from the last dig.

We are throwing it to a ledge, then throwing it completely out of the hole.

Now, some of our finds - keepers.

Amber poison, pipe bowl, couple of dose glasses, a Nontoxo = common of course. The local Coke was a welcome sight and a bit hard to find.

Here's a Simmon's Liver Regulator (large), a Consumer's Brewing w/ full stag, a large amber Trager, a mortar - pestle med. w/out company name, a common shampoo, and a Home Brewing (Balt. loop) Richmond, Va.

A digging buddy's group shot of recent finds. I won't name them all, but there are some rare amber meds. (3 total), Pepsis, Cokes, and a very hard to find: LOUISBURG DISPENSERY strap flask, from NC.

These were my next to last, at the hole finds. Not all of my finds were photographed. I still need to get a shot of my last finds there. It was a humid night dig then, starting at 11 pm and ended around 8:30 am.

Pictured here we have a small amber F. Stearn's from Detroit, some local blues, and a perfect handled stoneware jug (approx. 1 1/2 gal.). Above this jug was this broken top, amber ST. GEORGE VINEYARD / SAN FRANCISCO, CAL. w/ a figure on horseback spearing a serpent. Anyone know this one???

Excellent digs Flaschenjager. Too bad the top was broke off of that awesome San Fran. whiskey. Can't recall ever seeing that one. Love those little Stearn's bottles, and the big one's too. Found a pretty cool Stearn's bottle myself on my last dig. One I haven't seen before. Will post shortly. Keep up the great digs!!! Robert

Hey Meech, Great diggin pics and some really good finds too. Love the Cokes and Pepsis. If any of them go up for sale give me a heads up.

You cota love that massive jug, too cool. I had a buddy that dug alot at nite and in some pretty rank neighborhoods too. Said he loved it. May have to give it a try.[]
