Finally I was able to find one really old good bottle, at a booth with no other bottles, I asked how much for this and he said $5.00. I didn't even haggle.
Half pint double eagle flask, not pontiled, no damage other than a little haze. I don't know that much about flasks but my guess at value is about $60. What y'all think?

Overall, it was a great trip. We bought a lot of other things besides bottles. If all you are looking for is bottles it's probably not worth the effort. You could find more at any good sized bottle show. But if you are looking for a variety of collectibles and maybe a few good deals it is fun.

The odd thing is Dr Kings is from Elkhart, Indiana. Is this the same Dr King of New Discovery Chicago fame or a different Dr King?

I think that you did great. What fun that must have been. I have always wanted to make that trip but I just have never put it on my calendar. I like 'em all but my favorites would have to be the milk glass medicine and the double eagle flask. WTG! Great Post!

Thanks for posting. You found some great deals! That double eagle was a steal. Some of those Tenessee meds look to be pretty good too. Nice job,

Great pics and great finds. I was at a yard sale one time and standing all by it's self was a Majors Rubber Cement bottle. Got it for .50 but I gave the lady a 1.00 and you know it was almost as much fun as actually digging it up. Love it when stuff like old bottles and signs show up out of know where.

Sweet finds, especially the historic flask!
That would be one heck of a yard sale day for me.

Jay,

I don't know the mold # off hand but you did good, that mold is scarcer than most SB midwest double eagle molds..I'm assuming it is a half-pint.I'm thinking somewher around double your $60 estimate maybe more..I have one that I have had for a long time that is out being cleaned. I've always referred to it is as double pigeon flask[:D], being it is an awfully crude looking eagle. Great score.
