Clinton,
My father-in-law use to take any bottles he would find that was broken at the neck and saw them off even with a high speed hard blade and make them into vases for wild flowers and whatnot! They were quite attractive all lined up with the various colors and embossments. You were quick to notice it was a bottle salvaged and an immediate conversation maker.

Good for you on your idea.

They also make good holders for rubber bands, paper clips, pens and pencils. There are a lot of uses for them and it saves a part of history that most folks don't even know about. Everyone needs pen and pencil holders and you can supply someone with an historical on.
