Can somebody tell me what this is....

I got 4 of these in a lot of bottles I bought, there is this one, 2 browns this size and a small brown one. Are they insulators? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Evan,
It is a crock or a jar of sorts. Often contained dairy products like butter or cheese but they sometimes had other stuff. Not sure why its purple. If that is the original color, my guess is that its not very old.
