Hi
Wondering if someone can shed some light on this bottle I dug yesterday.
7 1/4 high 2 1/4 square "Carnricks Liqid Peptonoids" in 2 opposite recessed panels.
Olive green color, deep striations in neck. Has what looks like the Aussie "M" on base but is unclear not certain what the mark is. Hope someone can help.
Cheers Glenn

Sauce, I see several listings for Reed and Carnrick, and my guess would be this is an older version of the same company. Appears to be a N.Y company.Nice bottle in an unusual color.Where did you find it?

Hi Deepwoods
I dug the bottle in Northern Victoria Australia it was amongst bottles that were from about 1890-1910 period. The color is quite nice.
Do you feel peptonoids could be some sort of medicine?

Thanks for the info, it is a invalid food bottle by the sounds.
We use creosote impregnated wooden posts on the farm, I'm sure it would do wonders for your insides. Sure it would be just lovely.
Cheers Glenn
