Hi All,

I was hoping for some help finding out if this is a rare Carter's bottle jar. It is obviously as carter as it is embossed on the bottom. I am wondering if any of your have ever seen it? I know it is not an ink bottle but I could not find any others like it anywhere. Not that they don't exist but I haven't spend as many years going to show ans searching as you all have. Any information anyone may have would be of great help. It originally came with a rubber bulb type device for dispensing glue so that would have deteriorated. I know this because I looked up the patent number. Patented year 1899.

Thanks for any extra info you can give.

Last one I found that sold on Ebay back in 2011 sold for $3.49, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's not to rare or valuable...

I think that is one of those things that, because the embossing is on the base, is overlooked by most bottle collectors. Many ink bottle collectors would be inclined to include it in their collections if they were aware of it. Just speculation.
