Good evening my American friends. Dug this Carters ink? a while ago and have never seen another one the same anywhere on the internet.

Approx six inches in length and dates to almost exactly 1910 as the tip was abandoned in 1913.

I live in the north of Ireland and apart from hundreds of St Francisco fig syrup bottles I never find anything manufactured in the USA. Virtually everything I find here is made in Yorkshire/England.

A bit like a lighthouse in shape and design.

Any info on scarcity/value would be fabulous.

Lodzaglass.

Sorry chaps. I see that my photobucket links will not work on this forum.

I will upload some decent photos tomorrow.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Coboltmoon!

May I ask how to upload my photobucket photos as you were able to and I have tried everything to no avail. It will be great to know for the future.

Cheers for your kind words on my ink.

Hey Lodzaglass,

Welcome to this place, and great thanks for bringing this wonderful Carter's Lighthouse. I've not seen another either. I'm assuming all the while it's not Carter's Lighthouse Chili.

To stick up a photo, use
instead of the photobucket manner.

Location
Cape Town - South Africa
It is listed in Covill as No 1763 and identified as a "glue or mucilage" bottle.
The base of my one, rather weathered, seems to have the letters AD rather than TE

Cheers lads!

So maybe not so scarce after all.

Stilll love it and quite different to the usual bottles which are found here.

Defo TE on my example

I wonder what this means?

thanks again for your kind replies and photos.
