Found shards to what appears to be a Catawba Bitters, and likely the St. Louis version by C Moller since found upriver in Hannibal. Was dug in a pit with several late throws from the late 60's and this looks to be right in there, time wise. Problem is, it doesn't match up with the C Moller pics I find on the Peachridge Glass site story. This one has clearly an "...R'S" above the "...WBA" Bitters shard which doesn't match the pics I have found. Also, there appears on an opposite panel the letters "...OR", which are confusing and a non match to any pics I have found. Wondering if it is a different company altogether or a different variant? I suspect same company but just a different variant. Anyone know? Thanks in advance. Jack

First of all I don't know. There is a reference in the Ring Ham book that states, formerly listed as Moller's Aromatic Catawba Bitters. That would account for the r's. That would make for one rare bottle.

Thanx cacarp, I figured, since it was one of the few bottles broken at all in that pit! Even fruit jars were surviving! Damnit! Oh well, next time......Jack
