Ceramic flask with antler motif

Hello,
I'm not sure if this piece is before or after 1900. Can anyone tell me the approx. age and if it is indeed a liquor flask? There is a number on the bottom "12172" but no other mark. There is no stopper. This has been in my family for at least 50 years that I know of. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

The elks club had several pottery flasks,I'd guess this is one of them.

Hi easheehan, That is one interesting bottle. Thanks for posting it. You didn't say, but I assume it is a ceramic bottle. Certainly a conversation piece in anyone's collection.

And yes, it is ceramic and is 4 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide at the base.
