Chinese soy sauce jug?

[Backyard goldmine]

My research is telling me that this is a Chinese soy sauce jug. Is that what you guys think? If not, then what is it? This is a brown glazed “jug”. It is 5 inches tall. 18” circumference. The big hole has a 1” inside diameter and the small hole (pour spout?) has a rough inside diameter of 1/4”-3/8”.
Any info you guys might have is always helpful.

Definitely soy sauce. Looks late 1800s. Nice find.
