NEED SOME HELP!!!! I DUG A STONEWARE MINERAL WATER JUG YESTERDAY. IT IS BRISTOL GLAZE ,ABOUT 4" DIA. AND ABOUT 12" TALL.
IT IS STENCILED IN BLUE GLAZE " CLARK MAGNETIC MINERAL SPRINGS CLARK AND WOLF PROP. PUEBLO COLO." I CAN NOT FIND ANY INFO ON THE CROCK BOTTLE, BUT I DID FIND OUT THAT CLARK MINERAL SPRINGWAS A T.B. SANITORIUM AROUND THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS THE RARITY OR VALUE OF THIS JUG. ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS WESTERN MINERAL WATER?? I WILL POST A PIC LATER IF NEEDED!

A friend of mine who specializes in stone bottles said this:

hi kevin
i tried to join that forum but never got a conformation email that
jug looks like a syrup or compound clark being the supplier and wolf
the proprietor which would make it really rare

i find it interesting that there is little information available on this jug or on the mineral springs.
it seems there is no interest in mineral waters west of the mississippi. that could be because they are few and far between in the western u.s... here is what i found on a postcard from clark magnetic mineral springs.
"this water has aquired a national reputation for CURING bright's disease of the kidneys, rheumatism, diseases of the stomach, liver and skin"

could this be considered a cure or med.???
thanks for the input
jeff
